Looks like Xiaomi will soon announce that their Redmi line will become its new smartphone sub-brand.
The information came from Xiaomi’s website announcing an event that will happen in Beijing, China on January 10, 2019, and mentioned Redmi as a “new independent brand.” The website also hints the number 4800 which is reported to be a 48MP camera on an upcoming phone.
We’ll know more about Redmi and its new device when they officially announce it next week.
