    medyo mababa ung internal memory.

Hopefully, Android OS updates won’t stop at 2.2 for the low-spec models like what some rumors say. Buyers would hate to find out later that the spanking new phone they bought can no longer be updated because it doesn’t feature a high-res screen, processor or large RAM/ROM.

FM tuner argh… Want that on the spica

nice but 2mp camera is a big turn off well expect na natin yan sa mga murang cellphone!!!

    but for me ok to…..!!!

  15. dongv says:

why get this if spica is only a little bit higher with a bigger screen, this is a Corby in Android with higher price tag, just my 2 cents

  16. Miguel says:

Let’s see what the i5800 Apollo has to offer – I think its the Spica successor.

  17. allan says:

@lolipown: what do u mean “root the phone”?
    forgive me, andriod newbie here.

  18. im eying this phone since i discover it here. i’ll definitely buy this phone. good enough for my I.T life..saka na siguro ako bibili ng mas mahal kapag mas mataas na sweldo ko. haha!

  19. lolipown says:

rooting means getting access to the root account of the phone. Basically, you it means getting full admin access to your phone’s software.

  20. stephan says:

My younger sister asked for this for her birthday. When we checked it out we were both turned-off kasi parang china-phone lang. The price is not so high but there are other Android phones that have a “worth it” factor.

Off-Topic: Legal po ba ang CMK store at orig po ba binebenta nila (except if nakalagay na na class A)? At maaasahan po ba sila sa online transaction?

@allan: if you mean downloading data, then the data downloaded from the browser are saved to your SD card. it will automatically create the download folder if it doesn’t exist. other apps usually save their data to your SD card. just don’t forget to clear your application cache regularly to remove accumulated files.

if you mean installing apps to the SD instead in the internal memory, then you’ll need to root your phone as @lolipown suggested.

mag LG OPTIMUS ka nalang. :))

  24. allan says:

    thanks for the info guys.
another question i want to ask is i heard that andriods like to connect to the net automatically. is that true? if it is, is there an application to prevent this? specialy if you are on a budget. di ba malaki mababawas sa load mo.
ung application na you will be the one to control when you want to connect to the net.
i really want an andriod phone, that’s why i’m asking these questions.
    thanks again.

@allan: you can install an app like quick settings (http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.bwx.bequick) that allows you to turn your apn on/off. i use this all the time since i mostly browse thru wifi. you can also use the built-in power control widget to quickly toggle auto-sync for gmail, twitter, or facebook. most apps can be configured to manually retrieve data as needed. control is really not an issue :)

Wow! murang android.. ok to ah.. too bad i already bought Wildfire for my wife :(

let’s just hope this gets updated to froyo (android2.2) so there will be not much issue for the low RAM. Fyi, froyo will allow saving apps to sdcard without rooting your phone.

Somebody mentioned about LG GT540. I wouldn’t really recommend it due to its resistive touch screen. The qwerty keyboard with it is virtually useless.. kung anu ano napipindot, malayong malayo sa capacitive touchscreen ang performance. I had a chance to try it in an LG store.

Tpus yung xperia x10 mini, ang cute! Ok sana para sa wife ko,but what kept me from choosing it over Wildfire is Os. Android 1.6 pa ang xperia mini. For better compatibility baga..
