Summary of advantages
ASUS ZenFone 5Z:
* Slightly larger screen size
* Slightly higher resolution
* Bigger RAM options
* Bigger storage options
* microSD card support
* Face Recognition
* Bluetooth 5.0
Huawei Mate 10 Pro:
* Higher secondary camera resolution
* Larger battery
This is an interesting comparison. The ZenFone 5Z has a slightly larger display and higher resolution than the Mate 10 Pro, but both have equal pixel densities at 402ppi. They have different display panels though, with the 5Z using a Super IPS+ display while the Mate 10 Pro has OLED. Both offer good viewing experiences.
The 5Z also has connectivity advantage with Bluetooth 5.0 as oppose to the Mate 10 Pro with an older Bluetooth 4.2. It also has Face Recognition as a biometric security and expandable storage via microSD.
The Mate 10 Pro, on the other hand, has a higher secondary camera resolution, NFC, and a larger battery which is most suitable for heavy users.
So, if you want more RAM and storage options, expandable storage and updated Bluetooth, go for the 5Z, but if you want big storage and battery, the Mate 10 Pro is your buddy.
