Splash-proof Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) now official

After numerous leaks that left nothing much to hide, Samsung’s new 2017 J-series handsets are now official, which includes the top-tier J7 2017.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) specs:
5.5-inch Full HD sAMOLED display @ 1920 x 1080 px
1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos 7870 Octa-Core CPU
Mali-T830MP2 GPU
16GB internal storage
expandable via microSD up to 256GB
13MP rear camera with LED Flash
13MP front camera with LED Flash
Single SIM or Dual SIM
WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac
Bluetooth 4.2
Fingerprint scanner
IP54 splash resistance
USB Type-C
Android 7 Nougat
3600mAh non-removable battery

Samsung has jumped the gun ahead of a possible announcement and will sell the Galaxy J7 (2017) in a Single-SIM variant in the Netherlands with a dedicated microSD card slot. While we wait for further notes on the version that will arrive in the country (most likely a Duos variant will hit the town), be prepared to shell out around or more than the € 339 (roughly Php19K) price tag it will be selling for in that country.

Only 16 gigs of storage for that price??

    Oh, you unfortunate buyers.

Specs are great. It pretty much has everything going for it.

    Full HD
    USB Type C
    Fingerprint Scanner
    HUGE Battery
    Dedicated Micro SD slot
    Splash Resistant
    Decent Camera

Price looks okay relative to the specs/brand.

However at around 19K it looks too pricey for a J-Series phone.

the only negative things i can find in this j7 2017 models are the price point and the ‘lowly’ 16GB storage.

positives things are many: FHD screen, 3GB RAM, 3600mah battery, wifi AC, LTE, water resistance, front and rear cameras, microsd slot, NFC.

if i were to have a custom spec, i’d drop the fingerprint scanner and drop the SRP to attract more budget buyers to the ‘interesting’ 10-12k price range.

Already pre-ordered a Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and now I see this. Almost regretted it until I saw that the J7 2017 only has 16GB of storage. Sure it has NFC, IP54 Splash Resistance and USB Type C but for now internal storage is more important to me so the J7 Pro was indeed the better choice with 32GB.

  7. mayk says:

so mas better parin ang j7 pro kesa j7 2017dahil sa 32gig internal at mas mura sya ng around 3kphp?
