Starmobile has just featured on their Facebook page their upcoming Android smartphone that claims to be “a cut above the rest” — the Starmobile Diamond.

dapat sana yung mediatek MT6589 quad-core cpu with PowerVR SGX 544 quad-core gpu ang nilagay nila sa starmobile diamond…

other than that, there’s is no other reason to upgrade my starmobile crystal.

2000 mAh ung battery nito and ung CM Omega HD is 2100 mAh.. pareho lang maganda pero ang na-try ko pa lang is starmobile, masyado lang talaga mbaba ang battery ng SM.

2k price difference from it’s rival, the batt better be superior. But judging how shy they’re revealing that info I suspect it’s not “gonna be a cut above the rest”.
So what happens to that overprice Flirt now?

starmobile’s diamond and cherrymobile’s omega hd has the same specs and maybe same oem supplier. kapereho lang talaga sa thailand’s i-mobile IQ 6.

the difference lang sa dalawa:

(1) yung placement ng front camera at proximity sensor – ang front camera ng omega hd nasa kaliwa, sa diamond naman ay nasa kanan…

(2) the front camera resolution – 2MP sa omega hd, 3MP sa diamond.

(3) and lastly, the customized/localized ROM/Firmware – i believe mas lamang ang starmobile compared to cherry mobile sa android firmware. the starmobile can produced a more stable firmware than cherry’s, as what i’ve seen from their current products. the firmware of starmobile’s astra, crystal and engage hd are one of the best i’ve seen from local brands. the firmware from cherry’s flare and fusion bolt are crappy and slow.

but, it’s up to you if the 2k difference is worth it.

… just my 2 cents. :)

Di sila 100% same ng proc. MTK6577 sa CM OHD samantalang MTK6577H sa SM Dmnd. Not sure kung malaki difference nila at kung ano..

finally!!! NOT just some crappy comment, I experience some bit of lag talga lalo n pag multi tasking na.. although not that slow sa CM phone (titan) talagang ma feel mu that more solid yun run sa starmobile!!! (crystal)

you can also purchase cherry mobiles “cut above the rest” aka omega hd for 2k less… napilitan lang ito magpresyo ng 10k dahil sa OHD, loool starmobile… masyado overpriced yung flirt, astra tsaka crytal kaya nyo palang babaan ang presyo tulad nitong diamond.

Same specs as Omega HD, they just increase the front camera to 3MP (probably just interpolated).

Same CPU Mediatek 6577 with PowerVR SGX531

Sa nabasa ko magkaiba sila ng proc. Mediatek MTK6577 sa CM OHD samantalang MTK6577H naman sa SM Diamond. Di ko lang sure kung malaki ang pinagkaiba nila at kung worth it ang 2k difference dahil dito.

lamang lang sa front cam (3mp), compared sa CM OmegaHD, pero mas mahal ng 2k PHP.. ewan ko na lang sa batt, kung sino lamang.

@ that higher than thou price this will sell like cold cakes. CM’s O-HD, F-2.0, on the other will sell like HOT pan-de-sal. Well, I prefer to order the hot one everytime.

hndi mu talga makukumpara sa omega HD kasi kahit sa design pa lang hndi sya cheap… look carefully yun HD may rough edges… sa gilid hndi ganun ka solid….
