VIVO NEX Dual-Screen Edition now official

VIVO has officially launched the new NEX Dual Display Edition phone, now packed with more display and beefier hardware.

When VIVO meant more display, they literally did. The phone now has two — a 6.39-inch all-screen panel at the front, while the rear gets a smaller 5.5-inch 16:9 screen. With that, the pop-up selfie camera from the NEX S is removed in favor of capturing selfies with its triple rear camera setup using the secondary display. The camera features are also said to be loaded with new features such as face and body contouring.

There’s also a lunar ring around the rear cameras that emits light for notifications or pulse during music listening. The new VIVO NEX isn’t just all about gimmick as the company put in 10GB of RAM and a Qualcomm 845 Snapdragon chip. On top is the FunTouch OS based on Android Pie.

The VIVO NEX Dual Display Edition is set to be available in China beginning December 29 with Polar Blue and Nebula Purple colors for CNY4,998 , or roughly Php38,200 when directly converted.
