vivo officially launches Funtouch OS 14

vivo has now officially launched Funtouch OS 14 12 together with a list of eligible vivo and iQOO smartphones for the upgrade.

As of writing, Funtouch OS 14 is based on Android 14 Beta with vivo currently rolling out on select devices starting this October all the way up to mid-April 2024.

The list shows that the vivo X90 Pro and X90 getting the beta updates first followed by the X80 Pro next month.

vivo’s sister company iQOO also shared their own roadmap for rolling out Funtouch OS 14 starting with the iQOO 11 and then the iQOO 9 Pro and 9T next month.

Notable improvements on Funtouch OS 14 focus on four aspects: Personalization, Smoothness, Productivity, and Multitasking.

Some features on Funtouch OS 14 to help keep the user experience smooth include Memory Booster, Extend RAM 3.0, App Retainer, RAM Saver, and Motion Blur.

Other features also include Screen mirroring privacy, hidden albums, and hidden apps.

There will also be new personalization features such as new clockfaces, lock screen customizations, monochrome themes, and new always-on display called ‘Humanjoy’.

There will also be more productivity and multitasking features such as a picture-in-picture Mini window, as well as an upgraded small window that may be used while on split screen view.

For photos, it’s said to have more photographic filters, the ability to export videos with no quality loss, and custom resolution adjustment.
