vivo Pad 5 now official

The vivo Pad 5 is now official and is the company’s latest high-end tablet. It has an all-metal body with a slim profile at 6.62mm available in Blue, Gray, and Pink color options.

The tablet has a 12.1-inch LCD panel with 2.8K resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 144Hz refresh rate. It also offers up to 900 nits of peak brightness. Powering it is a Dimensity 9300+ and an Immortalis-G720 GPU. It has configurations with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.

For cameras, it has an 8-megapixel shooter at the rear and a 5-megapixel snapper at the front. It packs a 10,000mAh battery with support for 44W of fast charging as well. Other features include a six-speaker setup and a cooling system for sustained performance.

It will run on OriginOS 5 optimized for large screen use. Plus, it offers productivity tools like PC-grade WPS office and a customized CAJViewer app. The vivo Pad 5 starts at CNY 2,399 (~PHP 19K) with 8GB/128GB.

At the time of writing, however, it’s only available in China. This is a developing story as vivo has yet to mention any details concerning availability in other markets.
