vivo S9 series to launch on March 3

vivo has teased the arrival of the company’s new smartphones, the S9 series.

Not much has been revealed but based on vivo’s Weibo post; the latest S9 series will be unveiled on March 3. The latest smartphone series will be first introduced in China, and its release in other markets is expected to follow.

The KPOP star Lisa of Blackpink is one of the new series’ brand ambassadors, as seen on one of the teaser videos revealed on Weibo. Other than Lisa, the Chinese well-known personalities Cai Xukun and Liu Haoran are also spotted on the teasers. It seems like each of them holds a different vivo S9 series model.

Moreover, various reports hint that the company may announce the vivo S9 5G and vivo S9e 5G smartphones on the launch.

Tipsters on Weibo, Digital Chat Station and Arsenal, hint that the vivo S9 sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. This is also expected to feature a wide-notch display with dual selfie cameras. In addition to the selfie cameras, the tipsters also claim that Vivo S9 could feature a triple rear camera setup. Similarly, a Google Play Console listing reveals that vivo is about to launch a new smartphone with the model number V2072A, which is expected to be the vivo S9.

On the other hand, the rumored Vivo S9e 5G is expected to arrive with specs such as a 90Hz FHD+ display, 32MP front camera, a 64MP triple camera system, a MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset, a 4,100mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
