ZTE Nubia X 5G announced in China

Nubia, ZTE’s sub-brand, has announced the 5G variant of its dual-screen flagship smartphone, the Nubia X, with changes on its chipset and modem.

The Nubia X 5G’s design is almost the same as its regular counterpart except for the “5G” logo located at the upper right corner of the back panel. The main change; however, is that instead of the Snapdragon 845, it uses Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855, and uses the Snapdragon X50 Modem to get better connectivity performance.

The regular Nubia X comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS front display, 5.1-inch OLED HD back display, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, 16MP + 24MP dual rear cameras, and 3,800mAh battery with QC3.0 fast charging.

We’ve yet to know which RAM + storage variant will Nubia use in the Nubia X 5G. We’ll know more once it officially launches in China.
