I got this from the grapevine but it’s worth talking about. Apparently, Friendster has been sending people into training for a BPO office here in the country. I got this one from the guy who told he runs the training center for them Friendster employees.
The BPO will be doing some web designing of sorts. I didn’t ask for details though I did ask if this was bloggable and he said yes.
What got me curious is the idea that Friendster doing BPO might seem odd and how would web designers came into the scene? Will it be an entirely different operation than that of Friendster Philippines? Will the designers cater in-house requirements of Friendter or is it for toher companies? If it’s for in-house, are they planning to deploy people to do Friendter Profile templates and sell them to users?
Doesn’t make sense. This one needs more digging. :D

Yuga,
Fascinated by the social networking phenomenon here in the Philippines. I’m pushing these types of web 2.0 strategies to all my clients — and Friendster, yahoogroups and Bryanboy (and Yugatech, of course) are proof in the pudding.
Keep up the good work.
