Apple also removes charger and earpods in iPhone 11, XR, SE 2020

Apple has recently removed chargers and earpods from iPhone 11, XR, and SE 2020 units. It is probably applicable to the new units of the iPhone 11, XR, and SE 2020 being shipped in the country.

As spotted on the official Apple website, the previous iPhones will now only include the actual unit, along with the USB-C to lightning cable in the box.

Previously, iPhones include a power adapter and earPods inside its package. The new scheme started with the freshly launched iPhone 12 that boasts MagSafe wireless charging.

It now encourages users to use the existing Apple power adapter and earphones or to buy it separately. This initiative has been part of the company’s efforts to reach its environmental goals.

With this, the iPhone boxes are now also slimmer without the formerly included accessories.

The 20W USB-C Power Adapter is priced at PHP 1,190, while the EarPods (with 3.5 mm headphone plug or lightning cable) retail at PHP 1,190.00 on the Apple PH website.

Unlike iPhone XR and 11, iPhone SE didn’t get a price cut locally so this is pretty much apple removing about 2.4k worth of accessories on that handset.
