It seems that Apple plans to stop selling some of their Apple Watches in the United States.
Apple has confirmed that they will stop selling their Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Watch Series 9. This change will happen in Apple.com on Thursday, December 21 and retail stores will follow after December 24.
The reason for this is due to a dispute that is currently ongoing involving Masimo, a medical device creator, for Apple’s blood oxygen feature.
Apple was in violation for Masimo’s pulse oximeter patent as ruled by the US International Trade Commission in October.
“While the review period will not end until December 25, Apple is preemptively taking steps to comply should the ruling stand,” the company said in a statement to CNN, “Apple strongly disagrees with the order and is pursuing a range of legal and technical options to ensure that Apple Watch is available to customers.”
