ASUS Vivobook S 14, 14X OLED launched

ASUS has just announced two new laptops in its Vivobook lineup, the Vivbook S 14X OLED and Vivobook S 14 OLED.

These two thin and light laptops are powered by 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series processors, a 14-inch 2.8K resolution OLED display in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Vivobook S 14X OLED features a 120Hz refresh rate. Both laptops are equipped with PCIe 4.0 SSD storage and expandable memory for future-proofing.

The laptops also feature ASUS’ IceCool thermal technology which the company says maximizes the laptop’s CPU performance much longer while keeping its temperature down. The laptops also reduce blue light emission by 70% due to its OLED display.

The laptops can be laid down flat due to its 180 degree flat-lay hinge, multiple ports connectivity such as two USB Type-A ports, Thunderbolt 4 support, full-sized HDMI, and an audio combo jack.

Lastly, the Vivobook S laptops both feature a fingerprint scanner on the power button and a physical webcam shield for added security.

The Vivobook S 14X OLED is priced at PHP 65,995, while the Vivobook S 14 OLED is priced at PHP 59,995. Both come with a 1-month free Adobe Creative Cloud subscription upon purchase. It will be available in ASUS Concept Stores and authorized dealers.

What is the best laptop to use if you want to study programming languages and other stuff like excel. I don’t have computer background so what specs I should look for?

I had a vivo book S in 2018, top of the line, slim unit with 8 gigs of ram and 8th gen i7 processor. didnt even last 2 years. died close to it’s 2 year mark. it was always so damn hot, but that’s by design since they didnt put any vents on the bottom only an exhaust hole on the front. when the thing finally died I took it apart. the thing that killed it was the excess heat, shit was so bad that when I took the heatsink off it was really hard na, dead thermal paste. they are fundamentally designed poorly. thats what make them dont last as long as better ventilated computers.
