The AYANEO Pocket DS has been unveiled as the world’s first dual-screen Android handheld gaming console. One of its highlights is its premium CNC-machined metal build.

It has a 7-inch main OLED display capping up to 165Hz refresh rate that supports FHD resolution. Meanwhile, the second screen is 5-inches sporting a retro 4:3 aspect ratio and XGA resolution. The additional screen is used for performance monitoring, setting adjustment, and in-game controls.
Powering it is a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 with an active PC-class cooling fan. It ships with a custom UI based on Android 13 out of the box.
The Pocket DS also leverages different performance modes, ranging from Power Saving to Max Performance. Users can instantly switch to and from via its dedicated Turbo button.
For controls, it has TMR medium joysticks, linear hall-effect triggers, and more. Connectivity-wise, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a full-function USB Type-C port.

The AYANEO Pocket DS is set to be available soon via Indiegogo. We’ll update readers should we get details on its pricing.
