Bacoor City is set to be the first and only local government in the country to have such equipment when the procurement gets completed.
The members of the fire and police department of the first class city and second most populous district in Cavite will soon have their own dashboard cameras for their vehicles when on patrol and a pen-like body camera to used during operations.
The cameras are expected to boost the monitoring of road traffic and accidents, floods, and crime. Just like how civilians use their own dash cams, the police will have first-hand evidence against any unwanted scenarios on the roads while the body cameras will serve as a companion for quick photography shots.
The Bacoor government is now just waiting for the approval of the Provincial Board to acquire 300 units. No specific models for both are stated to be used.
