Bluesky reaches a total of 24 million users

Listen to article

Bluesky is an up-and-coming social network that works as an alternative to X. While Meta’s Threads was trending for a while, Bluesky is the newest app users are getting on for quick reads.

The app has just reached 24 million users. It also has over 700 million posts and 3.1 billion likes at the time of writing. It grew notably after the elections in the United States finished up.

Since then, a Bluesky representative said that they had a million new users a day. This equates to 12 new users per second, which is huge considering the platform has just 9 million users in September.

Just this week, US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) became its first user to reach more than a million followers.

Other notable users include the likes of Mark Hamill, George Takei, and Stephen King. With competitors X and Threads having 588 million and 275 million monthly active users respectively, we’re excited for Bluesky to find ways to drive the hype.

Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
