GoTyme reaches 8 million customers, targets profitability by 2027

Digital bank GoTyme has grown its customer base to 8 million this year, up from 5 million in 2024, as it continues to prioritize scale over short-term profits.

GoTyme CEO Nate Clarke said the bank is currently onboarding around 300,000 new customers per month and expects to add more than 3 million users in 2026, which would bring its total customer base to around 11–12 million.

Clarke noted that GoTyme is “still in a growth phase” and is not yet optimizing for profitability, but the bank is now guiding for a 2027 break-even timeline. This is a slight shift from its earlier target of 2026, as spending on customer acquisition and expansion remains elevated.

The bank’s deposits have increased from around USD 25 million to USD 40 million this year, while its loan portfolio has doubled from USD 3 million to USD 6 million. GoTyme said it is focused on rolling out new digital financial services aimed at widening financial inclusion in the Philippines.

Earlier this month, GoTyme announced a regional partnership with Visa covering the Philippines, South Africa, and future Southeast Asian markets. Under the deal, Visa will support GoTyme’s expansion through enhanced card-issuance programs, co-marketing, digital infrastructure upgrades, and data-driven financial services.
