BPI outs new minimum opening requirement for savings account

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has just announced a new minimum opening requirement amount for Regular Savings Account with Debit Card.

Depending on the institution, the new minimum opening requirement is as follows:

BPI has also stated that a PHP 300 fee for BPI and PHP 250 fee for BPI Family Savings Banks accounts falling below the minimum monthly ADB still apply.

The new minimum opening requirement amounts shall be effective by September 10 for new-to-bank clients, and November 10 for existing clients.

Nag try ako mag open ng bpi saving account kanina. Bakit ganun hiningan pako ng prof of income. Complete nman ako ng id’s at my 3k ako na pandeposit. Kadismaya mahigit isang oras ako na nakapila sa initan tas un lng ang sinabi sakin.

i just opened personal bank account last tuesday… deposited 7000. ATM ONLY , no passbok. with maintaning blnace of 3000 to avoid penalty.
minimum 5000 nman if you want to earn a little from ur saving.
PROBLEM: walang record na nagreflect sa BPI mobile express ko na nagtransact ako ng 500. Pero based sa available balance 6500 na lang ang natira while Total Balance reflects as 7000.
WHY NAMAN GANUN? nsaan napunta si 500?

Same po ng case.i just opened account 10k initial deposit after 3 days. My husband want to send money pag kacheck naless ng 500..why naman instead u feel safe at u can earned nababawasan pa.?

As far as i know, 500 ang opening ng account but should maintain 3000(bpi)/1000(bfsb). So ngayon kung ano yung maintaining, yun na din ang pang opening.

This is deceptive they have the same minimum requirement but increased the penalty to 300 this from a bank with shitty service debit card is also not activated since they introduced the emv card with debit card what a lousy bank!
