Samsung’s Camera Assistant app 22, known for introducing valuable enhancements to the default camera app, such as quicker shutter speeds and a 2x zoom crop, was initially exclusive to the flagship Galaxy S and Z Fold/Flip series phones. However, a recent development has extended this support to the Samsung Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54, both operating on One UI 6. Users can now access the Camera Assistant’s features through a direct download from the Galaxy Store.

Among the features brought by Camera Assistant are an automatic lens switching toggle, Quick Tap Shutter, the ability to disable Auto HDR, and a Soften Pictures option to address over-sharpening. With the inclusion of the Galaxy A53 and A54 in the supported devices list, it is anticipated that Camera Assistant will be rolled out to additional Galaxy A-series phones in the upcoming months.
