Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy has recently resigned from his position as president of DITO CME Holdings.
According to a Twitter post by ABS-CBN journalist Jessica Fenol, the company’s Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Uy today. As per the company’s statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Uy has resigned ” “to foster an appropriate balance of power, increased accountability, and better capacity for independent decision-making”. His resignation will take effect on August 16, 2020.

However, he will remain as the chairman of DITO CME Holdings.
The company has recently appointed Ernesto R. Alberto as president starting August 17, 2020.
DITO CME Holdings is a communications and media entertainment company that will own indirect interest in DITO Telecommunity Corp., the country’s third telco. DITO CME chief operating officer Donald Lim also said that Dito Telecommunity will hold the government’s franchise “once the necessary governmental approvals are obtained and the appropriate transfer documents are executed”.
