Galaxy AI expands with Perplexity integration

Listen to article

Using a new multi-agent approach, Samsung is expanding its Galaxy AI strategy and repositioning the platform as a system-level AI orchestrator instead of a feature exclusive to a particular app.

The move introduces Perplexity as an additional AI agent designed to improve contextual assistance and streamline everyday workflows across Galaxy devices.

Instead of switching between multiple apps, users can rely on Galaxy AI to understand intent and activity across the system. Samsung plans to achieve its target of decreased task completion time through the development of integrated AI services which will function throughout its operating system. The open framework enables partner AI tools to work together with Galaxy technology while preserving a unified user experience.

Users will access Perplexity through voice commands or by using the side button for a long press. The application will work with Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar applications to provide users with streamlined capabilities for executing multiple tasks.

Samsung will announce supported devices and rollout details at a later date.
