Globe At Home broadband customers get free upgrades

Listen to article

As part of the telco’s program to proactively adjust the plans due to the increased demand, Globe at Home broadband subscribers has recently received free upgrades.

Existing Globe at Home customers may enjoy upgrades such as speed boosts. The result is an overall better experience for our Globe At Home customers.

“It is really important for us to earn the trust of our customers, especially during these times. So we took a look at what our customers are paying and the services they’re getting in return. For example, those enjoying 10 Mbps at Plan 1699 may be upgraded to twice their current speed at no cost to them. This is our way of making sure that with Globe, our customers really get what they pay for,” says Darius Delgado, Vice President and Head of Broadband Business, Globe.

To ensure customers enjoy this program, all Globe customers are encouraged to update their account details for better servicing and maintenance. They can do this via the Globe at Home app available on iOS and Android.

“If our customers can maximize the plans that they subscribe to, this is real value for money,” Delgado adds.

What upgrade, a speed boost is not an upgrade. Yes you get higher bitrates of data sending, but it also means mas mataas consumption mo of data especially those na hindi Unlimited plan. What’s more, the Globe at Home app is not working. Laging nagrereload yung claim your free voucher at kung makalusot ka somehow, hindi nagprprocess yung Volume Boost kasi nga paubos na Data Cap mo dahil sa “upgraded” speed boost.

I live in a provincial town in the Visayas so I won’t expect 20+ mbps fibr anytime soon but the town is offered a single plan: LTE 5mbps 150gb data cap. It’s been the same for at least six years now. It’s just embarrassing to be on 5 mbps in the year 2021. With all their billions of usd in revenue there’s no excuses to not extend even just old tech dsl lines outside of the cities. They can’t offer free upgrades to us here because their one single tower is already overloaded under intense demand.

This is pure praise release. My internet speed previously reached above 10 mbps but has now slowed down regressed to less that 7. Globe will always say that the plan was originally 5 mbps, but this was years ago. I look forward to the new industry player, so that competition will unmask Globe’s shoddy service
