Google Play Store introduces Audiobooks with Google Assistant integration

Google has added standalone audiobooks to the Play Store, which are now available in 45 countries, including the Philippines.

Having standalone audiobooks means that you do not have to pay a monthly subscription, and you only pay the full price of the audiobook you wish to listen to. You can also add audiobooks to a family library to share them with your loved ones – for no additional fee.

Audiobooks from Google Play are also now integrated with the Google Assistant, which allows you to say something like “Ok Google, read The Great Gatsby”, or “Ok Google, stop playing in 20 minutes”. The feature currently available on Android smartphones as well as smart speakers such as Google Home.

Integration with Google Assistant means that no matter what device you’re using, as long as all of them are logged into the same account, you can access your library.

If you’re into audiobooks, you definitely want to check this out. Head over to this link to be redirected to the Google Play Store’s audiobooks page.
