HONOR is reportedly preparing the GT 2 series, a sub-flagship lineup expected to debut later this year with the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro. While the first-gen GT was already known for big batteries, the upcoming GT 2 could push things even further.

According to a report from ITBear, the Honor GT 2 may ship with a massive 8,800mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging, setting a new bar for the series. For comparison, the original GT packed a 7,200mAh cell, while Honor’s other recent releases, the HONOR Power (8,000mAh) and HONOR X70 (8,300mAh) also leaned on huge batteries.
Beyond battery life, the leak suggests up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, making the GT 2 one of the most powerful Honor devices to date. It’s also rumored to sport a 6.7-inch flat LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and a metal middle frame.
Under the hood, Honor may go with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for the standard GT 2, while the GT 2 Pro is tipped to run the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
As always with early leaks, take these specs with caution, but if true, the HONOR GT 2 could be a serious performance and endurance beast.
