Huawei has launched the Huawei CPE Pro 5G commercial device along with the Balong 5000, the company’s 5G multi-mode chipset.
The Balong 5000 supports 5G modules, home broadband, and vehicle-mounted devices. The chipset is said to achieve download speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps at Sub-6 GHz while it can deliver download speeds of up to 6.5 Gbps in terms of mmWave spectrum. 5G network architectures that are standalone (SA), non-standalone (NSA), and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communications are also supported.
The Huawei 5G CPE Pro device is powered by the Balong 5000 multi-mode chipset which supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular connectivity. The device can also support both 4G and 5G wireless connections. With the Wi-Fi 6 technology, it can deliver a speed of up to 4.8 Gbps. The company also stated that it can support Huawei HiLink protocols.
Huawei stated that their 5G smartphones powered by Balong 5000 will be released at the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
