The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2025) has been announced with Huawei’s patented PaperMatte display and some other upgrades.

It has a 12-inch LCD with a resolution of 2800 x 1840, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits of brightness. As mentioned, it boasts Huawei’s PaperMatte coating for reducing glare and supports HDR Vivid.

Under the hood, it packs a Kirin T92B chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also leverages a 3D vapor chamber for thermals and ships with HarmonyOS 4.3 out of the box.
For cameras, it has a 50MP shooter at the rear with an LED flash and an 8MP front snapper. The tablet also has six speakers and two microphones.
The tablet packs a 10,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. Connectivity-wise, it supports the Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2 standards.
