HUAWEI has officially launched the Mate 70 Air in China, its new ultra-thin flagship, measuring only 6.6mm thick, designed to rival the iPhone Air.

The Mate 70 Air sports a 7-inch 1.5K+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on HarmonyOS 5.1. Depending on the model, it’s powered by either the Kirin 9020B or Kirin 9020A chip, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
On the back, it carries a powerful camera setup, a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 12MP telephoto, and a 1.5MP color sensor for improved image quality. A 10MP front camera is placed at a punch-hole notch design, giving it a clear edge in all-around features.
Even though it’s thin, the phone still manages to pack a 6,500mAh battery. It also supports 66W fast charging, Wi-Fi 7+, two-way satellite messaging, and IP68/IP69 water resistance.
Available in Obsidian Black, Feather White, and Silver Brocade, prices start at 4,199 yuan ( PHP 34,679.34 ). We still don’t have the details on when it is going to arrive on our local shores, but stay tuned for further updates.
