Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Hugo Barra will be joining Facebook to lead its virtual reality efforts, including its Oculus team.
Hugo Barra, who recently announced that he is leaving Xiaomi with plans to go back to Silicon Valley, will be joining the social media giant as VP of Virtual Reality and lead the Oculus team.
Zuckerberg says that Barra shares his belief that virtual and augmented reality will be the next major computing platform. Barra, on the other hand, said that he is looking forward to building the future of immersive technology with Facebook and Oculus team.
