Infinix has quietly rolled out one of its most affordable 5G smartphones in the Philippines with the arrival of the HOT 60i 5G. Priced below PHP 7,000, the new device brings 5G connectivity and a MediaTek Dimensity processor to the entry-level segment, making it one of the cheapest 5G-ready phones currently available in the local market.
The Infinix HOT 60i 5G shares a similar design language with its 4G counterpart but comes with noticeable upgrades under the hood. It is slightly thicker at 8.14mm, a change that allows room for a larger battery and a more capable chipset. The phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and is available in Monsoon Green, Shadow Blue, Sleek Black, and Plum Red.
Up front, the device features a large 6.75-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations compared to typical budget phones. The screen reaches up to 670 nits of peak brightness and supports Wet & Greasy Touch technology, allowing for better responsiveness even when fingers are damp.
Powering the phone is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, a 5G-capable chip usually found in more expensive devices. It is paired with 4GB of RAM, which can be expanded virtually, and 128GB of internal storage. Infinix positions the HOT 60i 5G as a device built for everyday use, light gaming, and basic multitasking, with added AI-powered features supported by a dedicated One Tap AI Button.
For photography, the phone is equipped with a 50MP rear camera with a bright f/1.6 aperture, while a 5MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Battery life is another highlight, with a 6,000mAh battery that Infinix claims can deliver over eight hours of mobile gaming on a single charge. Charging is done via USB-C with 18W wired support.
The HOT 60i 5G runs Android 15 with XOS 15.1 and includes features such as UltraLink Free Call, which allows users to make calls via Bluetooth even without a cellular signal—useful in crowded areas or locations with weak reception.
Infinix has priced the HOT 60i 5G at PHP 6,999 in the Philippines, making it one of the most accessible entry points to 5G for Filipino consumers.
