Infinix unveiled their latest Note 40 series, and its the Note 40s, with a surprising appearance on the company’s official website. The latest model is set to join its predecessors—the Note 40, Note 40 Pro, and Note 40 Pro+.
The Infinix Note 40s sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the screen of the Note 40 Pro+. However, here’s where it gets interesting: instead of the opting to use the more powerful Dimensity 7020 SoC found in the Pro models, the Infinix Note 40s will be using a Helio G99 chipset. This might seem like a let down for some, but it’s paired with a solid 8GB of RAM including up to 8GB of extended RAM and packed with a 256GB of storage.
Now in terms of camera setu, it took cues from the Pro+ model, featuring a 108MP f/1.9 main camera and a 2MP macro shooter. While the Selfie is 32MP f/2.2 front camera.
Powering all this is a 5,000 mAh battery, which actually offers more capacity than the Pro+ model. However, it’s worth noting that the charging speed is limited to 33W, compared to the 100W charging tech available on the Pro+ model. This trade-off might mean longer charging times, but the extended battery life could be a significant advantage for those on the go.
But don’t worry Infinix has thrown in some unique features to make the Note 40s stand out. The Active Halo Design introduces discreet LED lighting on the back. The phone is also rated IP54 for splash and dust protection then added a JBL-tuned stereo speakers.
Additionally, the Note 40s supports wireless charging up to 20W with the MagKit case.
We’re still waiting on official pricing and availability details. In terms of colors Note 40s will come in two: Vintage Green and Obsidian Black.
