J&J PH Chat & Shop launches in the Philippines

Johnson & Johnson (Philippines), Inc. has launched J&J PH Chat & Shop, the healthcare company’s official social-commerce platform for various consumer health products.

According to the company, the decision to launch this new platform on Facebook comes from the influx of online shoppers during the lockdown.

“Given current buying behaviors, we recognize that digital adoption and e-commerce are not just seasonal trends among Filipino consumers. With the pervasiveness of social media, we saw an opportunity to enhance our customers’ shopping experience by introducing a safer, more convenient way to purchase their favorite J&J products,” said Denise Peralta, eCommerce Head for Johnson & Johnson (Philippines), Inc.

Based on Kantar’s 2020 COVID E-commerce report, 72% of Filipinos have switched or extended their spending to e-commerce platforms, with Facebook as the third most-frequented platform for procuring their daily essentials. Moreover, personal care products ranked second as those most commonly purchased online, following food and groceries.

Due to this, J&J Philippines also noticed a gain in user traffic on their social media platforms, as well as a steady increase in orders and purchases on their active online shopping channels for the last few months.

With the launch of this new social commerce platform, J&J PH Chat & Shop, powered by ACommerce, will deliver a fully automated experience– 24/7 shopping via Chatbot, with a live agent ready to personally assist customers during business hours.

The online shop currently carries J&J Philippines’ bestselling products from their portfolio of consumer health brands, such as  Aveeno, Neutrogena, Johnson’s, Listerine, Modess, Carefree, and Band-Aid.

“We are thrilled to be introducing Chat & Shop to our loyal Johnson & Johnson users. As a healthcare company, we want to be able to extend our expertise and products to our customers as seamlessly as we can during these trying times. With the launch of this new platform, we hope to ease some of the burden of our customers so that they no longer have to risk leaving their homes to get their essential healthcare products,” said Raghu Krishnan, Johnson & Johnson (Philippines), Inc. President and Managing Director.

The platform’s delivery services are available nationwide. Additionally, the platform accepts all major credit cards and supports cash on delivery for all transactions.

Why would consumers go to one app for those j&j products when they can just go to other apps that have those same j&j products plus more?
