LG intros Slim French-Door refrigerators for the Asian market

LG Electronics is unveiling its latest Slim French-Door refrigerators for the Asian market, aimed at those who need a refrigerator with high-end features but in a slimmer build.

The new Slim French-Door refrigerators measures 835mm wide which is narrower than the 850-900mm average fridge space in most kitchens, allowing it to fit in almost any kitchen setting. The said fridge also features a modern design that comes in a variety of colors, including the new Matte Black finish. In addition, it features a Soft LED Panel Light and Square Pocket Handle for an exclusive look.

Powering it is LG’s Linear Cooling and DoorCooling technologies, and is equipped with an Inverter Linear Compressor that is backed with a 10-year warranty. The Linear Cooling technology allows the fridge to keep temperature fluctuation at more or less 0.5 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the DoorCooling technology maintains an even temperature through the fridge and cools 19.7% faster than a conventional cooling system. Also, the DoorCooling tech features Air vents located on the top of the fridge which directs airflow to the door area.

This greatly reduces the temperature gap between the inner part of the storage compartment and the interior of the door. As a result, it prevents loss of moisture, allowing food to retain its freshness. And since it’s using LG’s Inverter Linear Compressor, the Slim French-Door refrigerators use 32% less energy, but at the same time 25% quieter than conventional LG models.

If you’re looking for something more sophisticated, LG also has models that feature InstaView Door-in-Door so you can view or access some of your fridge contents without having to open the whole door, compact SpacePlus Ice System so you can get ice whenever needed, and Folding Shelf for bulky items.

Lastly, it supports the LG Smart ThinQ app so users can control their refrigerator, monitor its status, and diagnose any issues.

The latest LG Slim French-Door refrigerators will be available in the Philippines.
