Apple has introduced a new subscription option on the App Store that lets users pay monthly while committing for 12 months. This new setup aims to give users a more flexible and lower-cost way to access apps and services.

With this option, users can subscribe and pay each month instead of paying for a full year upfront. However, they agree to complete 12 monthly payments. Users can still cancel anytime, but the subscription will only stop after they finish the remaining payments in the 12-month period.
Apple said users will be able to track how many payments they have completed and how many are left through their Apple Account. The company will also send email reminders and optional push notifications before each renewal date to help users stay informed.
Developers can now set up this subscription type using App Store Connect and test it using Xcode. This gives app creators another way to offer pricing options to users.
The feature will be available in most countries, except the United States and Singapore. It will roll out on devices running iOS 26.4 and later versions, with wider release expected alongside updates like iOS 26.5 in May.
Apple said the goal of this update is to make subscriptions easier to manage while giving users clearer payment options.
