The railway system links to MRT, Pasig River Ferry, and the upcoming Metro Manila subway. It is expected to link the key public and business spots of the City.

This subway project aims to decongest traffic inside Makati City. The trail will be near the following landmarks and roads:

  • Lawton Avenue
  • Guadalupe Nuevo
  • ST. Luke’s Medical Center
  • Guadalupe Bridge
  • Guadalupe Viejo
  • Pasig River
  • Rockwell Center
  • Poblacion
  • J.P. Rizal Avenue
  • Makati City Hall
  • Manila South Cemetery
  • Makati Central Fire station
  • Legaspi Village
  • Ayala Triangle Gardens

Abigail Binay, Mayor of Makati City, said that the target completion date for the subway system will be on 2025. A Swiss challenge for this project, or a competitive bidding process, is ongoing and will end on September 24, 2018. The mayor also said that constructions will not impede road operations as it will be done underground.
