Bumped into a local dealer earlier this week and talked about plans of Meizu to set up office in the Philippines in the coming months. The Meizu reps flew in from China to talk to various potential dealers to carry their products.
The plan is for Meizu Philippines to be the sole distributor, skipping 3rd-party local distributors, and transact directly with dealers/retailers in order to focus on their products.
Meizu has previously been represented by Novo7Tech but the distributor was also carrying other brands like THL. Novo7Tech has since closed down early this year. With the relative success of recent entrants like OPPO and Vivo, looks like Meizu is following their strategy.
We should be see the official introduction of Meizu Philippines in the coming months and perhaps bring the recently announced Meizu MX6. We’ll keep you updated.
Kahit maliit na stalls lang as long as updated mga models and mura pa rin compared sa ibang Chinese brands, bebenta sila.
oohhh nice. Parang timing namna, saktong nawala ang novo7tech.
ngayon na wala na si novo7tech ayos to
wow good news! more options, more job opportunities.
Same here. In fairness, matibay products nila at maganda yung price to quality ratio. Unlike other brands na unreasonable yung prices pero palpak nman yung device.
