Meralco has announced that it will refund customers the convenience fees charged by their payment gateway partners.
According to a notification posted in the Meralco app, the company is crediting back the PHP 47USD 0.80INR 68EUR 0.76CNY 6 convenience fee that customers paid between May 16, 2020, to July 15, 2020, and should reflect on their respective debit, credit, or e-wallet accounts. Additionally, Meralco will also make system changes by July 16, 2020, to temporarily suspend the convenience fee until further notice.
