Microsoft has launched the Publisher Content Marketplace (PCM).

Microsoft PCM is a new platform that allows AI products to use licensed premium content while paying publishers for its use.
As AI tools increasingly provide direct answers instead of search results, Microsoft says access to trusted, high-quality content is essential for accurate responses.
PCM lets publishers set their own licensing terms, keep ownership of their content and see how it is used while AI developers gain access to sources to improve their AI systems.
The marketplace was developed with major publishers such as The Associated Press, Condé Nast and Vox Media and is now starting to onboard partners like Yahoo.
Microsoft plans to expand PCM as the pilot continues, aiming to support sustainable journalism in an AI-driven web.
