The Moaan InkPalm Mini Plus 2 18 is now official. The Xiaomi sub-brand’s latest e-reader is more akin to a smartphone with its dimensions at 6.9mm thin.

Screen-wise, it sports a 5.84-inch e-ink display with a resolution of 1440 x 720. Powering it is a Rockchip RK3566 with 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Compared to Amazon’s Kindle offerings that cap at 32GB, it offers more than ample space. Of course, an argument can be made that this much storage isn’t necessary on an e-reader.
Other comparisons include dimensions and weight, where the Kindle comes in with a thickness of 8.1mm. As it’s closer to the dimensions of a smartphone, Moaan’s InkPalm model is lighter at 140 grams.
The e-reader packs a 2,250mAh battery, with connectivity options including Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 It will ship with Android 14 and also features speakers to help users listen to audiobooks.
