Moondrop, the Chinese company known for its in-ear monitors (IEMs) and other audio products, is entering the smartphone market with the MIAD 01.

Previously, Moondrop published a teaser page 50 to its website hinting the phone’s existence. The page revealed the name “MIAD 01” and described it as a “5G Hi-Fi mobile audio device” but mentioned no further details.
Now, the company shared to X 14 an image render of the device, showcasing its back panel. The image reveals a dual rear camera system, but the camera specifications remain unknown.

What’s even more interesting is Moondrop confirmed the presence of both a 3.5mm and a 4.4mm headphone jack. This caters to both balanced and unbalanced connections, a feature likely targeted towards audiophiles.
Balanced connections offer a quieter audio signal delivering more power compared to unbalanced connections.
No launch date yet so far and no word yet on its local availability, so stay tuned for updates.
