Netflix won’t increase subscription fees in the Philippines

Netflix recently announced that it will raise their monthly subscription fees. It’s good for the business as Netflix will have more funds to produce and acquire better content, but a bit of a downer for price-sensitive subscribers. Fortunately, subscribers in the Philippines won’t be affected.

According to Netflix Philippines‘ PR team, as communicated to Cosmo.ph, the price increase only applies to the U.S. and select markets.

“The price increase only applies to U.S. and select markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. It’s not applicable to the Asia Pacific markets, including the Philippines.”
