Nintendo reportedly demoed the ‘Switch 2‘ to a select group of developers behind closed doors at Gamescom 2023.
According to VGC, one demo showcased The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It ran at a higher frame rate and resolution on the supposed Switch 2 console.

The publication also cited another source claiming Nintendo demoed The Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 experience—running on target specs for its Switch successor.
This specific demo is said to run Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling technology and advanced ray tracing. Delivering visuals comparable to current-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. However, it’s worth noting that this doesn’t necessarily mean that the Switch successor will have the same raw power as non-portable devices like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
While details remain scarce, Eurogamer claims that the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 could launch as early as 2024. The current generation of Switch is still receiving a robust line-up of games, including the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
