Nothing.tech has officially launched the Phone (2) flagship globally and is competitively priced under PHP 40K.
The Phone (2) now joins the premium flagship segment, boasting a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset which serves a huge improvement from its predecessor’s Snapdragon 778G+.
At first glance, the new model looks just the same as the previous one. But Nothing CEO Carl Pei says otherwise, and the Phone (2) apparently have new changes to the design as well as adjustments on the hardware, while keeping its ‘iconic’ look.
“You know, there’s always this balance between giving some continuity and improving what you’ve done before, and building on it, and then doing something completely new,” Pei said in their launch video.
For starters, the Glyph Interface is slightly redesigned. It is now divided into more segments, providing additional utility beyond simply flashing LEDs for notifications and ringtones.
The quirk can now function as a visual countdown and progress tracker for ride or delivery services. It can also check volume, act as a timer, and perform many other functions.
The transparent back panel is now curved, with edges willowed to the aluminum frame, bringing a more ergonomic feel.
Phone (2)’s display is slightly bigger at 6.7-inches, there are more capable cameras, and most importantly, the chipset upgrade, making it a flagship experience.
Software-wise, Nothing 532 promises three years of major Android updates, and four years of security patches every two months.

Daryll says:
Competitively priced, are you joking?
Terence says:
This is a serious pricing. Almost half the flagship price.
Even Carl Pei (CEO – Nothing) confirmed it.
Antonio says:
It is not competitively priced, as you see you didn’t mentioned that the usb-c port is 2.0 instead using of any 3.x version.
As well as the early review of the camera from different reviewers, it doesn’t quite good look on paper. The low light is grainy and soft.
