PH ranks 10th in 5G performance in APEC for Q3 2020

Ookla most-recent global 5G report, shows the Philippines in 10th place among Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation countries when it comes to 5G performance in Q3 2020.

Topping the list is South Korea with a Median Download Speed of 411.31 Mbps, followed by Thailand at 327.41 Mbps, then Australia at 303.31 Mbps.

The Philippines, in 10th place, has a Median Download Speed of 182.50 Mbps, just below Hong Kong (192.94 Mbps), but above Singapore (92.65 Mbps) and the U.S. (64.11 Mbps).

However, Time Spent (percent of time that an average user spends on a given cellular technology) on 5G for the Philippines is at a low 1.1%. South Korea and the U.S. tied for the highest Time Spent among APEC countries during Q3 2020 at 14.8%, followed by Hong Kong (11.2%) and Taiwan (9.5%).
