PHL CHED Connect provides free learning materials to college students

Listen to article

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recently launched PHL CHED Connect, an online portal for providing free learning materials to college for distance learning.

Developed for students and college professors, the website contains learning resources across industries including humanities, architecture, business, engineering, IT, mass communications, criminal justice, agriculture, forestry, and fishery, among others.

The digital materials, which vary in formats,  are available on mobile devices and desktops. According to its website, it has over 1000 content that students and instructors may use for learning, teaching, and research purposes.

As reported by ABS-CBN, 16 academic institutions including STI and University of the Philippines, have contributed to the platform. The commission has also partnered with other foreign agencies and universities for acquiring more content for the website.

Before content is added to the platform, technical experts and officials will then screen it according to the commission’s standards. The approver may be an assigned RQAT member or ES II in-charge of the program.

Visit the PHL CHED Connect to know more about the platform.
