Qualcomm has just announced their latest chipset to go up against MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. This is the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Snapdragon 8 Elite

The Snapdragon 8 Elite marks the debut of Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU cores. This octa-core processor features two prime cores with speeds up to 4.32GHz and six performance cores clocked up to 3.53GHz. It also comes with their proprietary Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU.

The 8 Elite has a Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System dedicated specifically for AI-enhanced connectivity. The company states that this is able to achieve multi-gigabit 5G speeds and supports WiFi 7.

There has yet to be a device announced to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. We will find out more soon.
