In China, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Buds 8 Active (Vitality Edition), a budget-friendly set of wireless earbuds with an emphasis on long battery life, connection, and sound quality.
The earbuds use a 14.2mm dynamic driver which contains a titanium diaphragm that produces better sound quality and deeper bass response. The system uses AAC as the audio codec which enhances its wireless sound performance. The earbuds use dual microphones which include AI noise reduction technology for calls while wind noise reduction operates effectively up to 6 m/s to enhance outdoor listening experience.
The earbuds use a semi-in-ear design which provides users with lighter weight comfort during their extended listening sessions. The system provides users with up to 7 hours of playback through a single charge while the charging case extends total playback time to 37 hours.
The system supports Bluetooth 5.4 and provides IP54 dust and splash protection while enabling HyperOS Connect functions which include dual-device connection, audio sharing, and quick pairing.
The Redmi Buds 8 Active (Vitality Edition) are priced at CNY 119 ( PHP 1,018.68 ) in China. Local availability is still unknown.
