Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro debuts with quad drivers

Xiaomi has dropped a new desktop audio gear under its Redmi brand, the Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro. Priced at 369 yuan (PHP 3.2K) on Youpin, this speaker blends design, audio chops, and gamer-friendly RGB lighting.

The Desktop Speaker 2 Pro rocks a quad-driver setup with two 10W racetrack speakers and dual passive bass radiators for deeper lows. Xiaomi angled the drivers at 53 degrees, which supposedly lines up better with your natural listening position, giving what they call a “sky sound field”. It’s also CGEC Golden Ear certified, meaning it passed blind listening tests for quality.

Audio is powered by a DSP processor with a fully digital signal chain, while users can choose from five EQ modes: Balanced, Deep Bass, Pure Vocals, Game, and Cinema. To keep things flashy, you also get 24 RGB LEDs with six lighting effects, including Aurora 2.0 and Starry Flash, synced to your music or games.

On the connectivity side, it supports USB digital input, Bluetooth 5.3, and Aux, plus a built-in mic with echo cancellation and external mic support. It works across Windows, macOS, and smartphones, with customization available via Xiaomi’s C-Hub software.

At $52, this looks like a solid pick for budget gamers and music lovers alike.
