Smart Rings now track periods and ovulation with New Ultrahuman update

Listen to article

Smart ring wearables are now offering more health features, including period and ovulation tracking, as Ultrahuman launched new updates and a new finish for its Ring AIR in the Philippines. The device now includes Cycle & Ovulation Pro, a tool that helps women track their menstrual cycle with more accuracy.

The updated feature uses a medical-grade algorithm adapted from OvuSense, which provides about 90% accuracy in confirming ovulation. It works by studying changes in skin temperature and other signals to help users understand their cycle, whether regular or irregular. It also adds Cycle Flags that show early or late ovulation and other changes in the luteal phase.

The Ultrahuman Ring AIR functions like other wearables, tracking sleep, heart rate, skin temperature, stress, steps, and workouts. It also detects naps and some exercises automatically. Users may log food, water, caffeine, and even breathing exercises through the mobile app. The ring also suggests wind-down routines, wake-up times, and caffeine cut-off schedules to improve sleep quality.

In the Philippines, Ultrahuman recently introduced the Brushed Rose Gold version of the Ring AIR. It joins other finishes such as Matte Black, Aster Black, Bionic Gold, and Space Silver. The device is subscription-free, meaning users can access insights and long-term trends without monthly fees. It promises 4 to 6 days of battery life and is designed to be lightweight so users can wear it even during sleep.

The Ultrahuman Ring AIR is available at Digital Walker, Open Source stores, and online via Shopee and Lazada, with a 15% discount until November 23.
