Listen to article

Sony has just unveiled a limited edition watch in honor of PlayStation’s 30th year.

Sony has teamed up with design brand Anicorn to launch a limited edition mechanical watch celebrating 30 years of PlayStation. Only 300 units will be available worldwide and is priced at USD780.

The watch features a Miyota automatic movement and incorporates PlayStation’s iconic triangle, circle, cross, and square symbols on the dial.

Its hour and minute hands are inspired by the original PS1 controller’s Start and Select buttons. The case echoes the style of the first PlayStation in its iconic matte gray with a rubber strap.

The back of the watch shows an openwork design inspired by a PlayStation optical drive and it comes with a PS1 memory card shaped certificate. This collectible combines gaming nostalgia with traditional watchmaking for fans and collectors alike.

There are also two other watches: one that is based solely on the PlayStation Play Symbols in Light and Dark modes.
